After two successful editions of Amstelveen in 24hrs, this year we are once again organizing a day full of activities for all ages.
Amstelveen in 24hrs is the perfect event for residents (and visitors) to (re)discover their city. A day where everyone can participate throughout Amstelveen. On june 3rd participants can experience everything Amstelveen has to offer. Theatres, museums, nature spots, sports facilities, shops, bars, hotels, clubs, and other local businesses and entrepreneurs will open their doors with surprising programs and activities.
How does it work? A total of 50 unique activities are scheduled throughout the city and throughout the day. The program runs from 6AM to 6PM. A extensive communication campaign is also set up around the event, with local media partners such as Amstelveen Nieuwsblad and Amstelveenz. There is also plenty of visibility outdoors and of course, the event will be widely communicated through social media channels (on the day of the event the program was viewed 12,500 times online via visitamstelveen.nl!).
Inspired? Then we are looking forward to your idea.
The deadline for submitting the first concept is February the 21st
Activity participation conditions
Your idea must meet a number of conditions:
- It is a unique concept (not part of your standard programming).
- It is preferably a cross-over concept between different sectors (example: sports in theater, culinary in gym, theater in hotel etc..), so please engage with each other.
- Within the program, we look for a distribution throughout the entire day and throughout the city.
- Whenever possible, activities should also be accessible to people in wheelchairs or people with disabilities.
- The activity is offered free of charge
- In exchange for your participation, we promote your organization and activities. Unlike previous Corona editions, there is no financial compensation for organizing an activity during Amstelveen in 24Hrs.
- You are responsible for applying for any necessary permits (e.g. if you organize something outside your own location, play music or prepare food outside).
- When assessing applications, we will assume at least 30% of the total programming is accessible to internationals (e.g. language not relevant or English translation possible).
Selection
Of all concepts submitted, 45 - 50 will eventually be selected for the final program. We look at originality (crossovers), accessibility and distribution over time, across the city and target audience (young/old).
The selected institutions will receive a participation form asking for more detailed information, as well as commitment as a participant in Amstelveen in 24Hrs (what do we expect from you?).
