Concert Peter de Leeuw and Annemarie Ruiters

On October 20 at 3:00 PM, violinist Peter de Leeuw and pianist Annemarie Ruiters will give a concert at De Bolder. Among other pieces, they will perform Beethoven’s Frühlingssonate, Debussy’s Sonata, and the famous Meditation from the opera Thaïs by Jules Massenet.

Violinist Peter de Leeuw is a well-known figure in the music scene of Amstelveen. For many years, he was a violin teacher at the Music and Dance School of Amstelveen, now Platform C. Additionally, he taught at the conservatories of Utrecht, Rotterdam, and Tilburg and worked as a violinist in the Dutch Ballet Orchestra. This professional orchestra accompanied the National Ballet and the Netherlands Dance Theatre.

Pianist Annemarie Ruiters studied at the Conservatory of Alkmaar and later attended masterclasses with Willem Brons and Jan-Marisse Huizing. Her love for song accompaniment brought her to the Song Class of Dido Keuning at the Amsterdam Conservatory. She was later accepted into the International Master Song Class, where she received lessons from Udo Reinemann and Rudolf Jansen. In addition to maintaining a flourishing teaching practice, Annemarie enjoys playing chamber music and appreciates interacting with the audience during concerts.
