Pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, both edible and ornamental, can be found at Pluktuin Amstelveen.

Throughout the entire month of October, including during the autumn break, you can carve pumpkins at Pluktuin. How does it work? First, pick a nice pumpkin, then design how you want it to look, and then… the hard part: carving it. Once you’re done, there’s a short break with lemonade and a bag of chips. Time for the last and most fun task: making your pumpkin face. Luckily, carving is easy and safe with special tools. Pop in a candle, and you're done!

Of course, you’ll take the pumpkin home with you! Start thinking about a nice spot for it. You can also take the seeds: fun to make a necklace or roast them for a snack.

This workshop includes an extra surprise for the kids.

Pumpkin carving terms and conditions:

Participation is under the responsibility of the accompanying adult.
Carving is done with child-friendly, safe tools.
Carving and cutting are explained centrally, after which the accompanying adult assists the child.
Although aprons are provided, keep in mind that kids might get messy. Please don't dress them in their nicest clothes and shoes.
