Within a few years, Montis, Goudsmit & Directie have become the soul jazz sensation of the Netherlands. Even before their debut album "Taste of Culture" was released in December 2019, the band was booked at home and abroad.

Whether they play at North Sea Jazz, Mañana Mañana or Paradiso, the audience is whipped up with infectious grooves. The band's repertoire is not to be pigeonholed, because in the dust cloud they leave their audience in you can find traces of funk, rock and ballads.

Drummer Cyril Directie presents the shows with humor and seduces the audience to surrender to the manic energy of the trio. With his charisma and unmatched groove, he is the engine of the band.

Frank Montis on the Hammond has been an authority in Soul Jazz for years. It's hard to comprehend how swinging his left hand plays the basses, while his right hand adds a rich spectrum of sound and harmony.

Guitar virtuoso Anton Goudsmit blends into the groove in his unique and inimitable way. Every note he plays sounds like it could be the last. Or, as the British newspaper The Guardian once wrote about him: "Goudsmit is the kind of guitar player that makes you wonder where the fire escape is".

The band can't wait to wow the audience with danceable grooves and a live show that is second to none!

All events organized in P60 are, in principle, completely standing. Do you really have difficulty walking? Or do you have another physical complaint, so you can’t really stand all evening? Please let P60 know well in advance. They have a limited number of bar stools, which they can place in different places in the room.
