Django à Paris

The unique musical performance “Django à Paris” centers on the life and music of Django Reinhardt in Paris. This Belgian jazz guitarist had a tremendous impact on jazz music in Europe in the 1930s, a time when European pioneers combined the new swing music from the USA – jazz and especially dance music – with traditional European waltzes, gypsy music, and classical music. In the 1930s and 1940s, Paris was the lively heart of this musical evolution.

Frank de Kleer, Flip Krajenbrink, and Melvin Könings bring this inspiring, intimate performance to life with live music, stories, and anecdotes. They use original instruments from that time and a fitting decor, creating a nostalgic atmosphere. The show includes a 50% blend of story and 50% live music.
