Winterconcert at Urbanus Bovenkerk
On Sunday, February 2, 2024, Harmonie Orkest Amstelveen and Amstelveens Symfonie Orkest join forces for the second time to present a joint Winter Concert in the Urbanus Church of Bovenkerk.
The program features light classical music. The harmonieorkest will perform pieces such as The Wilderness by Rossano Galante, Second Suite by G. Holst, Music from Braveheart by James Horner, and Atlantic Overture by Thierry Deleruyelle.
AmSO will present works such as Fanny Mendelssohn-Hensel's Overture in C, H265, Felix Mendelssohn's Andante con moto from Symphony No. 4, Op. 90, and Claude Debussy's Sacred and Profane Dances, featuring harp soloist Shamáti Willemse.
Together, both orchestras will perform Floris by Julius Stefano and conclude with the cheerful Radetzky March. The concert starts at 3:00 PM. Tickets are available via We Ticket: vriendbovenkerkseurbanus.weticket.com.
