Rembrandt Hoeve
Along the river Amstel lies Rembrandt Hoeve, an authentic cheese and clog-making farm that brings the past to life.
Upon arrival, you are greeted by the scent of fresh Gouda cheese, prepared according to centuries-old traditions. The farmer guides you on a tour, explaining what makes Gouda cheese so special and why the Dutch are renowned as excellent cheese makers.
In addition to traditional Gouda, they have developed new flavors: garlic and chives that pair well with wine; spicy pepperoni for a little extra kick; mustard seed for a typical Dutch sandwich; and smoked cheese with ham, perfect with a glass of beer. During your visit, you can taste all the cheeses and, of course, purchase them afterward.

Rembrandt Hoeve is more than just a cheese farm. This farm also makes clogs, a craft still lovingly practiced here. Skilled hands carve clogs from a block of wood, just as they did in the past.
There are daily tours, and the farm is open year-round, with free parking available for cars and coaches. Rembrandt Hoeve is an outing that will appeal to young and old alike, a learning and tasty experience.
